Just a lovely place - in all seasons
Our Story
The farm WindyHill in Benestad, nearby Ystad in southern Sweden, has a rich history dating back to the late 1800s. Nestled in Österlen with close proximity to several beaches by the Baltic Sea and neighboring a Nature Reserve, called Fyledalen . The small farm and the environments, offers a cosy blend of history, nature, and tranquility.
Windy Hill .... a place for creation in Vedic Art
At the farm, there will be some open spaces inside the former barns, or in the small atelier close to the fields ( picture in the middle) OR outside, where ever you find just that place for you !
I will invite friends in Vedic Art creations , coming and practice their scills - and staying over @ the AirbnB

Quaint kitchen with "light antique" ( 60s) furnishings, cozy atmosphere with tiled floor and plastered walls. There are : Micro, Airfryer, Coffemaker and of course Fridge and Frezer and normal Stove/ Fan. On one wall, close to the chimney, you will find two old black stove doors left as remains from laundry build in 1914

The Hall /Boudoir
contains a sideboard/buffet with suitable sink and tap. For shaving and make-up, you will find a mirror on the wall.

contains outside reclainers and sideboard on the front side on the grass.
There will be an outdoor grill and some equipments for airning towels, sheets and more, and a shed for outdoor tools.
There is a close by parking for your vehicle
While in the reclainer.... take a moment reading this book. You´ll find that book on a shelf in the kitchen among other books ( even in English) and turist brochures/ booklets.

Stenshuvud National Park - Coastal park for hiking and scenic views. If you are lucky, you might hear some Nightingales
Ale’s Stones, also called Ales Stenar in Swedish. They are located on the hills close to the village Kåseberga. The stones are megalithic monuments excavated in the 20th century. You will find some interesting information from Bob G Lind close to the stones. Read more:

The Supermarket Bo Ohlsson in Tomelilla - might be your visit a rainy day :-) Sorry, but I can´t find information in English - just in Swedish ->
Close by, with start in Tomelilla by the Folk High School ( Österlen Folkhögskola) ... you can rent a Draisine/ Trolley for "muscle training" travels along tracks from an old railway. Read more in English ->
Top Amenities
The Countryside...
Relax and unwind your body by taking walks in the neighbourhood with stunning views over the fields and forests. You surely will see some Red Kites in the sky - and probably Deers as well. There are Wild boars in the forrest -> BUT they are mostly awake during nights !!!
Dining
In our AirbnB, you might choose dining in the Kitchen - being your own chef. Otherwise - we can recommend the Italian Pizzeria Basilico in Tomelilla ( close to ICA market) - For Lunch - The Golf Club just outside Tomelilla is perfect as well as places @ Torget in the city square of Tomelilla.
